Horror movie to be filmed in Lansing area; Public informational meeting November 6

Whole Hearted Productions has announced that the Lansing area will be the focal point of an upcoming horror film called, “The Burial.” Filming for the movie is set to begin next summer.  Writer/director Jack Meggers and President of Whole Hearted Productions, Kristine Hrycun, will host a meet and greet for the general public Thursday, November 6  at the Kerndt Brothers Community Center in Lansing at 5:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Meggers and Hrycun will explain the concept of the film and the general locations planned for filming the movie.
Meggers, also the founder and CEO of Whole Hearted Productions,  grew up in the Mason City area. He is currently based in Los Angeles, CA. He has directed  and produced several music videos for That Noise, Static Pulse and Anita Coats. His short film “Frigid” was selected to participate in the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013. He also worked as studio manager at Quixote Studios, home to the long-running TV series,” Criminal Minds”.
Hrycun is the producer of the film. Prior to teaming with Meggers to create Whole Hearted Productions, Hrycun worked in production and development at Rob Reiner’s production company, Castle Rock Entertainment. She has worked on such films of more recent popularity as “The Green Mile”, “ The Mist”, “The Shawshank Redemption”, "Miss Congeniality” “Fracture” and “Michael Clayton". She began her Hollywood career with Ron Howard’s Imagine Entertainment and Steven Bochco Productions.
