The Kee girls basketball team had just one game on its schedule this past week, a game the Lady Hawks had kept their eye on since mid-December, when Kee suffered what had been its only loss of the season, 54-44, at Turkey Valley. Hoping to avenge that lone blemish on their season record when they hosted the Trojans Tuesday, January 20, the Lady Hawks suffered a second-half letdown in missing that mark and falling by a 61-37 result to the Class 1A 10th-rated Turkey Valley squad.
The Kee girls are scheduled to begin postseason tournament play Thursday, February 12 at home against Central Elkader at 7 p.m. and will host a second-round game as well Tuesday, February 17. Further details of the Hawks’ postseason journey will be published in a future edition of The Standard.
