TASC receives three-year program accreditation

TASC, Inc. of Waukon underwent a voluntary survey of its program in April of this year through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). The facility was recently notified that based on its recent survey, a three-year accreditation - through June 30, 2019 - has been awarded to the following services provided by TASC:

• Community Employment Services: Employment Supports
• Community Employment Services: Job Development
• Community Housing
• Community Integration
• Organizational Employment Services
• Supported Living.

"This award and level of achievement would not be possible without the dedicated staff members TASC employs," shared Mary Ament, Executive Director at TASC, Inc. "The staff members are committed to positive outcomes and demonstrate compassion and commitment to providing high-quality services in a person-first environment."

“This achievement is an indication of your organization’s dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of conformance to standards," read the accreditation report.

The report further noted that TASC is an organization that "provides services to clients with dignity and respect and makes every attempt to eliminate barriers to inclusion in the client’s work, living and social environments. Customizing services to fit the needs of the persons served is a part of the organization’s person-centered mission. The governance and staff members are invested in the client’s lives and are committed to assisting them with achieving the outcomes they desire. A team approach emphasizes that communication, compassion and concern are the driving forces that have resulted in a commitment to quality service provision. The fact that there were minimal recommendations based on the CARF standards is especially noteworthy and indicates substantial stability within the organization’s operational structure."

In his summarizing remarks, Brian J. Boon, Ph.D., President/CEO of CARF International, praised, "Congratulations are extended to all involved with the organization for creating an environment where positive outcomes, rights and dignity for all persons served are paramount in service delivery.”
