UPDATE: Subject has been located in brutal Winneshiek County beating

According to an update from the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office, as of 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 13:

Dalton Adam (18) has been located by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin. Adam was arrested on felony willful injury causing serious injury warrants with a total bond amount of $50,000. Adam will be incarcerated in the Crawford County Jail pending extradition.

Jacob Seelinger (17) was seen by a magistrate and is being held on $25,000 bond and will be transported to a juvenile detention facility.

All subjects involved with this incident have been arrested and there is no threat to the public safety.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office would like the public to be on the lookout for a subject at large. There was a brutal/attack assault along with other assaults that occurred just before midnight on 7/12/18.  The subject at large is Dalton James Adam, 18 years old, 6’1” 200lbs, brown hair, who was last seen in the Freeport area. This subject should be considered DANGEROUS!  There was another subject involved in the attack who has been taken into custody. The Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol and Decorah Police Department along with the assistance of the Decorah Fire Department are aggressively searching for this subject. Please call the Sheriff’s Office (563-382-4268) if you have information on the whereabouts of this subject or if you see suspicious activity. Attack/Assault Update 7/13/2018 at 8:30am.

Dalton Adam (18) still remains at large and felony warrants have been issued for his arrest.

Jacob Seelinger (17) was charged as an adult with felony willful injury causing serious injury and transported to the Winneshiek County Jail.  Following Seelinger’s initial appearance he will be transported to a juvenile detention facility.
