The Kickapoo Grazing Initiative, now in its sixth year, is an innovative public/private conservation partnership that focuses on promoting economic and environmental incentives for farmers and landowners to adopt managed grazing in the Kickapoo Valley in southwest Wisconsin. We provide pasture walks/workshops for area farmers and landowners as well as hands-on technical assistance for grazing plans. Funding for our work is through NRCS and the McKnight Foundation and our partners. We are part of the Kickapoo Boots on the Ground Collaborative through NRCS (under number 54599) and National Fish & Wildlife Foundation.
