Waukon State Bank donates $10,000 to tennis court project ...

Waukon State Bank has made a donation of $10,000 to the Waukon Park, Recreation and Wellness Department Tennis Court Project. Pictured above at the check presentation are, left to right, Amy McCormick and Gail Prestemon of Waukon State Bank, Waukon Park & Recreation Wellness Director Jeremy Strub, and Dan Denk and Justin Sweeney of Waukon State Bank. The project will include two tennis courts that will be located near the soccer fields on the west edge of Waukon, close to the new concession stand/restroom building. The tennis courts will be open to the public so anyone can use these courts for tennis or pickle ball with no membership or other fees. The courts will be lighted and could also be used in the winter for ice skating. Prestemon stated, “Waukon State Bank is happy to support a project that can benefit a wide variety of people in our community. The new tennis courts can be used for multiple purposes so will benefit community members of all ages.” For additional information on the project, or to make a donation, contact Jeremy Strub at 563-568-0074, extension 1.
