Lansing City Council hears presentation on plans for improvements to swimming pool, approves signage in City Parks prohibiting tobacco use and smoking

The Lansing City Council held its regular meeting Monday, December 2. The meeting discussion centered around the consent agenda, the parks board report, and the police report.

The consent agenda consisted of council meeting minutes for November 18 and November 25, payment of claims, parks board minutes from November 19 and library minutes from November 29. A motion was made and seconded with minimal discussion to approve the consent agenda.

A presentation was given to explain updates and new improvements being considered for the Lansing Swimming Pool in order to proceed forward with fundraising for future updates of the facility. New signage will be placed around City Parks notifying that smoking or tobacco use is not permitted. A motion was made and seconded with minimal discussion to approve the new signage.

The old police squad car, a 2012 Dodge Charger, is being put up for bids.
