EACSD Board approves list of 2024 graduates, hears variety of updates

The  Board of Directors of the Eastern Allamakee Community School District (EACSD) met in regular monthly session Monday, April 15. Two operational matters for the 2024-2025 school year were approved, including the operational sharing agreement for a school business official with South Winneshiek School District, and the Area Education Agency (AEA) Purchasing Agreement.

For the current school year, the board approved the overnight softball trips in June for the West Delaware Tournament and the Don Bosco Tournament. Coaches will be reimbursed for one room at the Don Bosco Tournament and the players will be responsible for the cost of their hotel rooms at both locations. The school will provide transportation.

Twenty-three graduation candidates were approved for Kee High School’s May 5 graduation. They include: Nathan Dean Boardman, Evie Katelynn Clemments, Brendan Joe Croft, Kaleb Robert Drape, Cadan James Evanson, Kaylee Ann Hawes, Andrew Tate Kolsrud, Dawson Michael Lewis, Cameron Lee Lind, Ava Jayde Mahr, Nathaniel John Mitchell, Mallory Noelle Mohn, Lilly Marie Peterson, Jackson Edward Schulte, Jack Patrick Schweitzer, Shane Howie Smith, Austin John St. Mary, Anissa Kay Stanley, Abbey Jane Stevlingson, Riley Elizabeth Troendle, Jacquelyn Grace Walleser, Holden Robert Welsh and Lauren Jillian Veare Whitehead.

In other business matters, the board approved the transfer of funds from Food Service to General Fund and the family medical leave for Hudson Johnston. In addition, approval was given to a contract for assistant varsity softball coach for Reagan Mudderman, and resignations for assistant varsity football coach Ray Rankin and fifth grade teacher Lisa Welsh.
