Benjamin and Faith Scott of Maynard announce the birth of their son, Harlan John Scott, born May 21, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 9 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are John and Meghan Palmer of Waukon and Mike and Kathleen Scott of Westgate. Great-grandparents are Becky Gesing of Waukon, Greg and Marlene Palmer of Waukon, and Wesley and Marlys Foster of Waverly.

Terry and Jan (Snyder) Palmer of Gilbert, AZ are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple married May 23, 1973 at Second Reformed Church in Pella. Their family includes a son, Nathan Palmer of Lincoln, NE.

Destiny Welsh Teixeira and Leonardo Teixeira of Des Moines announce the birth of their son, Josiah Buck Welsh Teixeira, born April 1, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. He weighed 6 lbs. 15 ozs. at the time of his birth. He joins a brother, Dominic.

Grandparents are Betty Welsh and the late Lloyd Welsh of Lansing and Valtier and Edneusa Teixeira of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Margarita and Bradley Brandt of Sumner announce the birth of their son, Gavin Theo Brandt, born May 3, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 9 lbs. 2 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Theresa and Jack Brandt of Cedar Falls and Lana and Galen Herr of Hastings. Great-grandparents are Christa Schons of Cedar Falls and Deane Adams of Liscomb.

Shea and Paige Gavin of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Dorothy Leigh Gavin, born April 18, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 10 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a brother, Francis Gavin (2).

Grandparents are Kelly Cook of Waukon, Loran Waters of Churchtown, and Larry and Chris Gavin of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Dennis and Corinne Cook of Frankville.

Mike and Virginia O’Hare of Lansing are celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary with an open house scheduled for Sunday, April 30 from 1-4 p.m. at the Allamakee County Fairgrounds Pavilion, located at 705 Allamakee Street in Waukon.

Sandy and John Troendle of Waukon were joined in marriage Saturday, April 15 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon.
