Kevin and Stephanie Gordon of Evansdale announce the birth of their son, Archer Lee Gordon, born September 6, 2017 at Unity Point Allen Hospital in Waterloo. He weighed 8 lbs. 8.7 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are David and Connie Gordon of Waukon, Mark and Deb Rush of Hampton and David and Julie Twedt of Eldora. Great-grandparents are Herbert Halvorson and the late Mary Lou Halvorson of Waukon, Ervin and Sharon Gordon of Waukon, Jim and Judy Meyer of Geneva, Jerry and Martha Fredericksen of Ackley and Carolyn Twedt of Eldora.
 

Kelly and James Bucher of Ankeny announce the birth of their daughter, Vivian Kay Bucher, born October 9, 2017 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. She weighed 8 lbs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins sisters, Anna (4) and Grace (4).

Grandparents are Don and Connie Nagel of Waukon and Joyce and the late Elden Bucher of Ankeny.
 

Kevin and Trish Martin of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Mason Edwin Martin, born October 23, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 6 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 20-1/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins sisters, Brooklyn (8) and Alexis (6).

Grandparents are Walter and Peggy Martin of Waukon and Lorraine and Linda Kalke of Decorah. Betty Lundt of Decorah is a great-grandparent.
 

Liz Heitman and Dustin Baumler of Ossian announce the birth of their daughter, Raelynn Karen Baumler, born October 19, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 9 ozs. and measured 22 inches in length at the time of her birth.

Grandparents are Dave and Janette Heitman of Lansing and Dave and Natalie Knutson of Ossian.

Candido and Mindy Caguach-Hernandez of Postville announce the birth of their son, Dominick Yair Caguach-Hernandez, born October 12, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 7 ozs. and measured 19-1/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Marcy (15), Luis (11) and Mariah (4).

Grandparents are Susan Kuhse of Postville and Ken Kuhse of Cedar Rapids. Vivian Peterson of Postville is a great-grandparent.
 

St. Patrick’s High School Class of 1967 held its 50th-year reunion Saturday, October 7 at Green Valley Getaway in Waukon. Special guests at the event were Monsignor Joseph Slepicka and Father Mark Osterhaus. Reunion committee members were: Kate (Tierney) Tooke, Bonnie (Blake) Sweeney, Margaret (Doubek) Hammell and Greg Waldron.

The celebration began with Mass at St. Patrick’s Church followed by a tour of the school. Dinner and a program followed at Green Valley Getaway. A highlight of the evening was a trip down memory lane led by a lively group of St. Pat’s grade school girls dressed as cheerleaders. They led several cheers from the 1960s and sang the school song. A silent auction was held with donations going to St. Patrick’s School.

Owen (Ole) and Carol Thorson of Spring Grove, MN are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. They were married October 23, 1952 in New Albin.

The couple has four children, Jan (Bob) Klug of Caledonia, MN, Greg (Terri) of Decorah, Gary of New Albin and Joel (Janice) of Dorchester, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

N. Josh and Nicole Hutson of La Crosse, WI announce the adoption of their daughter, Mia Christine Hutson, born September 9, 2015. She weighed 3 lbs. and measured 14-3/4 inches in length at the time of her birth. She officially became part of the Hutson family September 29, 2017. She joins a little brother, Seth.

Grandparents are N. Jim and Sandra Hutson and Jean Hutson, all of Olympia, WA, and Steve and Robin Oden of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Bob and Jo Oden and Phyllis Kubitz, all of Waukon.
 

Brian and Brittany Rosenthal of Cambridge, WI announce the birth of their daughter, Lydia Anna Rosenthal, born September 27, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI. She weighed 6 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a big brother, Owen (2).

Mark and Amanda Donlon of Monona announce the birth of their daughter, Remi Jo Donlon, born October 12, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 13.8 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sibling, Case (20 months).

Grandparents are Rodney and Doreen Bries of Monona, Dan and Maryann Donlon of Postville, and Sonny and Patty Handke of West Union. Great-grandparents are Elmer and Teresa Bries of Monona.
