Katelyn Gilman and Wayne Tuecke of Luana announce the birth of their son, Emmett Louis Tuecke, born May 31, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 11.6 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Maci (5) and Bentley (2).

Grandparents are Kay Stussy of Lansing, Mike and Liz Gilman of McGregor and Bob and Brenda Tuecke of Monona. Great-grandparents are Kathy Strub of Lansing, Louis and Velma Tuecke of Garnavillo and Sharon Stussy of La Crosse, WI.
 

Randy and Kathy Van Ruler of Waukon and Tom and Julie Bartling of Waterville announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their children, Heather Van Ruler, originally of Waukon, and David Bartling, originally of Waterville. The wedding ceremony is scheduled for July 8, 2017 at Heartland Baptist Church in Ames with a reception at Gates Memorial Hall in Nevada, IA.

The bride-to-be is employed as a Sales Operations Analyst at Workiva in Ames and will be graduating from Iowa State University in December with an accounting degree and will continue her employment at Workiva. The groom-to-be is employed as a mechanic at Skunk River Restorations in Ames.

Jim and Helen Johnson of Waukon will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this week. The Johnsons were married June 8, 1957 in Middlebranch, OH.

They will be celebrating with their four children, Sherrie (Gil) Hunstad, Scott (Noreen) Johnson, Chad (Cheryl) Johnson and Heather (Cary) Hermanson, and their families, which include ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Michael and Jennyanne Hager of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Byron Lyle Hager, born May 29, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 11 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Marlin (4) and Wylo (2).

Grandparents are Glenn and Karen Grimstad, Janet and Keith Schroeder and the late Mark Hager, all of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Margie DeBower of Decorah and Hal and Andrea Grimstad of Juno Beach, FL.
 

Deanna and Ethan Roffman of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Jaina Mai Roffman, born May 27, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 19-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sister, Ava Rose (1-1/2).

Grandparents are Sylvia Roffman of Waukon and Susan Giancaspro of Buffalo Grove, IL.
 

Brian and Angel Hatlan of New Albin announce the birth of their son, Archie Lyle Hatlan, born May 23, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 9 lbs. 9 ozs. and measured 23-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Braiden (8), Bentley (5) and Makenzie (2).

Grandparents are Tracy Hatlan of Ferryville, WI and Alvin and Paula Ready of Eastman, WI. Great-grandparents are Evelyn Hatlan and David Lerimo of Ferryville, WI, Paul Fiddler of McGregor, Jaelene Seymour of Ferryville, WI and Darrel Broadhead of Viroqua, WI.
 

Paul and Wendy Ebner of Lansing will be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. Paul Ebner and Wendy Goeke were married June 6, 1992 at Waterville Lutheran Church in Waterville.

They have one son, Jacob. The couple is planning a vacation out west in the fall to celebrate their anniversary.

Nyles and Ruby Herman of Waukon will be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary this week. Nyles Herman and Ruby Beardmore were married June 1, 1952 at Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church in rural New Albin.

They have four children, Brad (Judy) Herman, Brent Herman, Brian (Michelle) Herman and Kim (Ron) Winters. They also have 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

The couple farmed the Herman Century Farm, where a fifth generation grandson now lives, and will be celebrating 41 years as owners of the Waukon Feed Ranch this summer.
