Ryan and Jenny Hennessy of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Charles Jeffrey Hennessy, born April 25, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 8.2 ozs. and measured 20-1/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Alli (4-1/2) and Luke (3).

Grandparents are Jeff and Janet Jannsen and Jim and Peggy Hennessy, all of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Carroll and Lela Blagsvedt of Houston, MN.

Jesse and Melissa Swenson of Luana announce the birth of their daughter, Ember Rae Swenson, born April 27, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 11 ozs. and measured 21-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a brother, Liam (3).

Grandparents are Hall and LuAnn Swenson of Postville, Mike Deutsch of Marseilles, IL and Terri Shenkel of Marseilles, IL. Great-grandparents are Verdon “Bud” Swenson of Postville and Marilyn Christofferson of Postville.
 

Loren and Christina Havens of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Eloise Louise Havens, born April 28, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 5 lbs. 8 ozs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sibling, Mihael (10). Sherri Bond of Waukon is a grandparent.
 

Dave and Cheryl Brandt of Waukon, parents of the bride-to-be, and Dan and Pat D’Alessandro of Le Claire, parents of the groom-to-be, wish to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their children, Jennifer Brandt of Cedar Falls and Tony D’Alessandro of Cedar Falls. The wedding ceremony is scheduled for June 10, 2017 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Falls.

The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Waukon High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. She is employed at the Cedar Valley Cardiovascular Center as a Nurse.

The groom-to-be is a 2006 graduate of Waterloo Columbus High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Missouri-Rolla. He is employed as an Engineer at John Deere.

Duane and Linda (Sivesind) Flatland of Waukon are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married April 29, 1967 at Glenwood Lutheran Church, Decorah.

The couple has three daughters, Connie (Jim) Nagel, Cheryl (Scott) Livingston and Carrie (Ben) Glantz. They also have seven grandchildren, Marissa and Miranda Nagel, Ethan, Ella and Makenzie Livingston, and Sam and Claire Glantz.
 

Marvin and Janice Adam of Postville will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a card shower. Marvin Adam and Janice Guese were married May 6, 1967.

Bryan and Kimie Berns of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Kameryn Lynn Berns, born April 4, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 9 lbs. 7 ozs. and measured 22 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins brothers, Brody (11), Brayden (7) and Benjamin (4).

Grandparents are Randy and Lisa Murphy and Bernard and Eileen Berns, all of Waukon. Grace Murphy of Waukon is a great-grandparent.
 

Brian and Denise Wullner of Waukon, parents of the bride-to-be, and Tom and Paula Rosonke of New Hampton, parents of the groom-to-be, wish to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their children, Sarah Wullner, originally of Waukon, and Caleb Rosonke, originally of New Hampton. The wedding ceremony is scheduled for May 13, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waukon.

The bride-to-be is a 2011 graduate of Waukon High School and a 2014 graduate of University of Northern Iowa. She is employed at Bossard North America in Cedar Falls as a Marketing and Communications Specialist.

The groom-to-be is a 2010 graduate of New Hampton High School and a 2013 graduate of University of Northern Iowa. He is employed at Farmers State Bank in Waterloo as a Credit Analyst.

The couple is planning a honeymoon at Lake Tahoe.
 

Adam and Amanda Leiran of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Alden Edwin Leiran, born April 15, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 6 lbs. 13 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Adalyn (3).

Grandparents are Doug and Bonnie Weymiller of New Albin and Tom and Bev Leiran of Waukon. Bernard Dougherty of New Albin is a great-grandparent.

N. Josh and Nicole Hutson of La Crosse, WI announce the birth of their son, Seth Roderick Hutson, born March 27, 2017 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI. He weighed 7 lbs. 4.2 ozs. and measured 20-1/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Mia (19 months).

Grandparents are Steve and Robin Oden of Waukon, Jean Hutson of Olympia, WA and Jim and Sandra Hutson of Olympia, WA. Great-grandparents are Phyllis Kubitz and Bob and Jo Oden, all of Waukon.
