Seth and Brittney Clarke of North Liberty announce the birth of their son, Elon Ralph Clarke, born March 1, 2017 in Cedar Rapids. He weighed 7 lbs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Ida (2).

Grandparents are Jim and Patty Clarke of Waukon, Ralph and Yvonne Savoy of Cedar Rapids and Maria Savoy of Plymouth, MI.
 

Curt and Jan Brandsmeier of Waukon will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Curt Brandsmeier and Janice (Jan) Halverson were married March 18, 1967 in Lansing.

They are the parents of Kristine (Jeff) Butterbaugh of Mount Vernon and Brian (Sara) Brandsmeier of North Liberty. Grandchildren include Camden (16) and Rylan (14) Butterbaugh of Mount Vernon, and Axel (5) and Lumen (3) Brandsmeier of North Liberty.

Megan Stewart and Danny Pfiffner of Marion wish to announce their engagement and wedding. The couple exchanged vows in Cancun, Mexico February 25, 2017. A reception is planned at the Waukon Banquet Center for this Saturday, March 18 with a dance to follow.

The bride is the granddaughter of Lowell Stewart and the late Kathleen Stewart of Harpers Ferry. She is a 2011 Waukon High School graduate and a December 2016 graduate of UNI with a teaching degree.

The groom’s parents are Tom and Rita Pfiffner of Waukon. He is a 2011 graduate of Waukon High School and a graduate of Northwest Iowa Community College (NCC) in Sheldon with a degree as a Lineman. He is currently employed as a Lineman with Alliant Energy in Cedar Rapids.

The couple resides in Marion.
 

Ross and Vanessa Ellefson of Harpers Ferry announce the birth of their daughter, Ava Catherine Ellefson, born March 2, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth.

Grandparents are Keith and Patrice Schulte of Waukon and Roger and Lynn Ellefson of Waterville.
 

Micah and Emily Boyum of Elgin announce the birth of their son, Benjamin Andrew Boyum, born February 22, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 20-1/4 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Michael and Kimberly Boyum of Ossian and Erika (Andrew) Ciszewski of West Union.
 

Zack and Chelsey Woodbeck of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Greyson Charles Woodbeck, born February 22, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 6 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Kinley (2).

Grandparents are Robert and Peggy Woodbeck of Waukon and Richard and Kathy Speicher of New Hampton. Dana Waters of Waukon is a great-grandparent.
 

David and Amanda Reinhardt of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Nolan Dean Reinhardt, born February 24, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 22 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Charlie (1-1/2).

Grandparents are Rick and Cindy Reinhardt of Waukon and Randy and Lori Hover of Dorchester.
 

Alberta Troendle of Lansing will be celebrating her 100th birthday Saturday, March 11 at an open house hosted by her children. She has 12 children, 41 grandchildren, 105 great-grandchildren and 36 great-great-grandchildren.

The open house is scheduled to be held from 1-4 p.m. at the Kerndt Brothers Community Center in Lansing. Alberta requests no gifts, but a visit would be welcome.

Heath and Jill Hesse of Tipton announce the birth of their son, Lennon Thomas Hesse, born February 13, 2017 in Iowa City. He weighed 5 lbs. 13 ozs. at the time of his birth. He joins a big brother, Sid, and a big sister, Veda.
Grandparents are Tom and Jeri Humpal of Ridgeway and Randy and Lori Hesse of Waukon. Great-grandparents are LaVonne Hesse and Bob and Agnes Anderson, all of Waukon.
 

Brian and Amanda Streeper of Waterville announce the birth of their son, Japheth Bennen Streeper, born February 16, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 10 ozs. and measured 21-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, August (6), Ivy (3-1/2) and Sutton (2).

Grandparents are Nick and LuAnn Rolling of Waterville and Doug and Nancy Streeper of Solon. Great-grandparents are Kenneth and Marilyn Streeper of Anamosa and Alice Rolling of Moorland.
