Samuel and Irene Gingerich of Racine, MN announce the birth of their son, Andy Gingerich, born January 2, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 9 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are John and Arlene Gingerich of Spring Valley, MN and Andy and Susie Helmuth of Hopkinton. Great-grandparents are Amos Christner of Delhi, Dannie Gingerich of LaValle, WI, Neil Lambrights and Eli Helmuths.

Five generations of the Lester and Betty Stahl family were present in Waukon during the weekend of Christmas 2022. These photos were taken during the family’s Christmas celebration that weekend. Stephen and Susanna Gentz of Dunkerton announce the birth of their son, Sterling James Gentz, born December 25, 2022 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 10 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Dennis and Gayle Gentz of Waterloo and Robert and Cara Phillippe of Berryville, AR.

Marvin “Bud” and Marjorie (Richards) Strike of Waukon are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple married December 28, 1952 at the United Methodist Church in Nashua.

Their family includes Linda (Jim) Ryan of Waukon, Jim (Deb) Strike of North Liberty and Rich (Jane) Strike of Cedar Falls. They have been blessed with seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

They will be celebrating their wedding anniversary with family during the holiday week.

Jason and Jenna Collins of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Cora Lou Collins, born December 20, 2022 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 4 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sister, Lilly Marie Collins.

Grandparents are Darryl Sharon and the late Jill Sharon of Eitzen, MN and John and Von Collins of Waukon.

Tyler Drips and Samantha Johnson of Strawberry Point announce the birth of their daughter, Margaret Jane Drips, born December 7, 2022 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 5 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 18 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Audrey (7), Remmington (4) and Wyatt (2).

Jamie and Alyssa Lier of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Kade Michael Lier, born December 12, 2022 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 19-1/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins sisters, Aria (8), Kynlee (4) and MaKenna (3).

Grandparents are Mark and Mary Verthein of Waukon, and Randy and the late Joanne Lier of Waterville. Great-grandparents are Wilma Verthein and Theresa Helgeson, both of Waukon.

Frank and Kelsey Weymiller of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Crew David Weymiller, born December 12, 2022 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 15 ozs. and measured 18-1/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins brothers, Bo (5) and Eli (3).

Grandparents are Dave and Laure Weymiller of New Albin, Chris Schwartzhoff and Mark Hoppenjan of Prairie du Chien, WI and Jerry Baxter of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Franklin “Doc” and Jean Ann Weymiller of Harpers Ferry.
