Have a Heart Day marks its 20th successful year

Year 2010 marked the celebration of the 20th annual Have a Heart Day for local area dentists at Family Dentistry Associates of Monona, Dental Associates of Decorah, P.C, Waukon Dental and Dental Associates of Prairie du Chien, P.C. The Saturday, February 13 schedule was full with over 90 patients receiving a variety of dental services including check-ups, x-rays, treatment for toothaches, fillings and sealants at no charge.
Drs. Steven Kurth, Eric Shelton, Mark Fohey, Linda Carstens, Mark Buitenwerf and Kendall Dammeier, along with their staff, volunteered their time and services for the 20th annual celebration of Have a Heart Day. Valentine’s Day was the theme of the Have a Heart Day this year, including a fresh flower arrangement along with apples, oranges and 100% juice boxes given out to patients.
The doctors enjoy the opportunity to offer this day as a way of expressing appreciation to the community and surrounding residents for continued support. They look forward to the same service next Have a Heart day, which will be held February 12, 2011.
