Utility vehicle accident Saturday morning claims life of Monona woman

The Allamakee County Sheriff's Office reports a Monona woman suffered fatal injuries in an accident involving a utility terrain vehicle at approximately 12:28 a.m. Saturday, August 29. The report indicates that 43-year-old Cynthia Joanne Petsche of Monona was a passenger on a Polaris Ranger utility vehicle traveling westbound on Linton Drive in southeast Allamakee County when she fell from the vehicle approximately one mile west of the intersection of Linton Drive and Old Sixteen Road.
Petsche was transported by Waterville Ambulance to Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, where she was pronounced dead from injuries received in the accident. The accident remains under investigation by the Allamakee County Sheriff's Office and Iowa State Patrol.
