Waukon Living Center obtains recertification

Following the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeal (DIA) evaluation January 28, the Waukon Living Center Assisted Living Program received notification of recertification effective from February 5, 2010 through February 4, 2012.
In addition to the recertification, a “Certificate of Recognition” was awarded for a violation-free monitoring visit. DIA Director Dean Learner stated, “Caring for the health, safety and welfare of Iowa’s senior citizens is a paramount concern to all of us, whether regulator or provider. We appreciate the efforts of [Waukon Living Center] staff in meeting the requirements of established rules and regulations governing assisted living programs operating in the State of Iowa.”
