Waukon Police Department warns of variety of scams

The Waukon Police Department is urging the public to be aware of numerous scams being attempted in the area. Police Chief Phil Young says that the police department has been notified of various scam attempts, some by mail and others by phone.
Young advises citizens not to send money or give out personal information to anyone whose identity and business affiliation can't be verified. Report any suspicious calls or solicitations to the Waukon Police Department at 563-568-3427 or the Allamakee County Sheriff's Department at 563-568-4521.
