Women's Lenten Breakfast set for Thursday at Zion UCC

The Women’s Lenten Ecumenical Breakfast events are held each Thursday throughout the Lenten season at Waukon area churches. The events begin at 6:45 a.m. with breakfast, followed at 7 a.m. with a program. All women in the area are invited to attend these events taking place during the Lenten season.
Zion United Church of Christ (UCC) in Waukon will be hosting the Ecumenical Women's Breakfast Thursday, April 3. The speaker will be Gretchen Conway, who will be speaking on the Conway Caring Community, a charitable organization consisting of herself, her husband, Todd, and their five children.
The focus of Conway Caring Community is to provide compassion and help to those in need, here in the local community, but also in a larger community as well. Some of the projects Conway will highlight include literature kits the family sends to children in hospitals, greeting cards and placemats made for nursing home residents and coordination of the shoebox collection at Zion UCC. She will talk about the reasons behind the development of Conway Caring Community, the process they use to make different projects, and ways they seek help from others.
