What's up at the FSA Office?
Joyce Davidshofer
Allamakee County Executive Director

The next Allamakee County FSA Committee meeting will be January 21 at 9 a.m. at the Allamakee FSA Office.

Dates to remember:
December 25, 2013- Closed for Christmas.
January 1, 2014 – Closed for New Years.

Important: 2014 Hay, Grass, Pasture, Mixed Hay and Any Other Forage Crop Need to be Reported Now to Avoid Late File Fee Penalties
Postcards were sent from the Iowa State Office to all producers in Allamakee County with perennial forages. This postcard has caused some confusion about cover crops.
Even though we do not have a Farm Bill in place, in order to comply with FSA program eligibility requirements, all producers are required to visit the Allamakee County FSA office to file hay, grass, pasture, mixed hay or any other forage crop certification report immediately. Late-file certifications will be $46 per farm.
For questions regarding crop certification, contact the Allamakee County FSA office at 563-568-2148.
