Pfiffner, Evanson exchange vows at September 29 ceremony

Amy Christine Pfiffner and Elliott Steven Evanson were joined in marriage September 29, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Waukon with Father Joseph Schneider officiating and readings by Ruth Ann Kelleher.
The bride is the daughter of Lori and Larry Soukup of Ridgeway and Mike Pfiffner of Lansing. She is the granddaughter of Tony and Theresa Link and Leota Pfiffner. The groom is the son of Steve and Sheryl Evanson of Waterville and the grandson of Helen Evanson.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory trumpet gown with champagne underlay and beaded lace. Flowers were white lizzyanthus, white daisy poms, pale yellow roses, yellow hypericum berries and assorted greenery arranged by the groom’s mother. The bride’s bouquet also included her great-grandmother’s rosary.
The bride’s Matron of Honor was Erin Plein, sister of the bride. Bridemaids were Mallary Snakenberg, Jill Grampovnik and Angela Guider, all friends of the couple, and Jennifer Staggemeyer, sister of the groom. The bridesmaids wore dark teal V-neck, floor-length taffeta dresses.
The bride’s personal attendant was Brittany Link, cousin of the bride, and the Flower Girl was Lauren Plein, niece of the bride and goddaughter of the couple.
The groom’s Best Man was Andrew Eberling, friend of the couple. Groomsmen were Keith Evanson, brother of the groom, Tyler Plein, brother-in-law of the bride, Todd Wild, friend of the couple, and Ronnie Staggemeyer, brother-in-law of the groom. Ushers were Heath Dee, friend of the couple, Ted Kelly, cousin of the groom, and Brady Link, cousin of the bride.
The reception, hosted by Paul and Betty Link and Duane and Eileen Wood, was held at the Fairgrounds Pavilion in Waukon. Decorations included teal mason jars with candles and soybeans as centerpieces, burlap table runners, dried natural flowers and other homemade burlap decor. Guest book attendants were Bill and Mary Bleckwehl. Gift carriers were Tony and Theresa Link and pie cutters were Jan Pfiffner, Laure Manning and Donna Wood.
The couple plans to honeymoon in St. Lucia in January and makes their home together in Waterville.
