5/1/2013 11:31:00 AM Waukon boys track team ties for runner-up honors at North Fayette
With weather being a major factor lately in the Waukon boys track schedule, a meet they had added to their schedule that was subsequently postponed finally took place Thursday, April 25. The track Indians competed in the North Fayette Invitational that was originally scheduled for the previous Thursday, finishing in a tie for second place with 98 points. The Indians had the Tuesday, April 23 Oelwein Invitational cancelled due to weather and were slated to compete at the New Hampton Invitational Monday, April 29. The Indians will then compete in the Northeast Iowa Conference Meet Thursday, May 2 at Decorah before hosting their own Indian Relays Monday, May 6 (see further details in the shaded box elsewhere on these Sports pages). The Tribe will then try to qualify for the Class 3A State Meet with a return to Decorah Thursday, May 9 for this year’s State Qualifying Meet.
