The Waukon volleyball team finally broke its Northeast Iowa Conference victory ice this past week before suffering a four-match tournament slide over the weekend. The Indians swept a Tuesday, October 8 home match from Crestwood by scores of 26-24, 25-15 and 27-25 before falling in four straight matches at the Hudson Tournament Saturday, October 12. Currently holding an 8-18-4 overall record on the season, 1-4 in Northeast Iowa Conference (NEIC) play, the Indians were scheduled to wrap up their dual match season by hosting Class 4A sixth-rated Charles City Tuesday, October 15 and will then prepare for the Northeast Iowa Conference Tournament played at Oelwein Saturday, October 19.
