Despite the weather in the second half of the week being far from conducive, the Kee girls track team was still able to get in two meets this past week, those competitions coming on back-to-back nights to start the week. The Lady Hawks first claimed a fourth-place finish at the Starmont Invitational held Monday, April 8 after being postponed from Thursday, April 4, but then turned up their intensity to win the Early Bird Invitational hosted by Waukon Tuesday, April 9.
The Lady Hawks were also scheduled to compete in the MFL/MarMac Invitational Thursday, April 11 but had that meet called off due to inclement weather. The Kee girls were next scheduled to travel to the Crestwood Invitational Tuesday, April 16 before hosting their own co-ed home invitational Thursday, April 18, beginning at 4:30 p.m., the Lady Hawks hosting Clayton Ridge, Turkey Valley and West Central. The Hawks will then compete at the MFL/MarMac Invitational Tuesday, April 23 and at Clayton Ridge Thursday, April 25.
