Launee Wood was born September 24, 1940 in Lehi, UT, a daughter of LeGrand and Mamie Elizabeth Wood. She was educated in Utah. She met and married Donald Halvorson of Waterville November 24, 1956 in Clearfield, UT while he was serving in the military. She traveled with Don during his service years and began raising their family of six children.

During her youth, Launee was a faithful member of the Mormon Church in Utah and then became an active member of the Waterville Lutheran Church after moving to Waterville.
Launee was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a gracious, kind and caring friend who would help anyone she could. Along with her family, she had many dear friends who will miss her. She was an avid, knowledgeable antique shopper and was the owner of many nice items, plus numerous groups of collector's pieces which she enjoyed sharing with her friends.
Launee's children and grandchildren were her greatest love, and she spent quality time with them whenever possible. She was so proud of their accomplishments and encouraged them along the way.
