Barb was born August 9, 1951 to Herbert and Edna (Monner) Donovan in La Crosse, WI. Barb graduated from St. George High School in Lansing. She later graduated from the University of Dubuque with her degree in teaching. Barb taught for years at Kee High School in Lansing and truly enjoyed her work there.

In her free time Barb loved watching John Wayne movies, reading and collecting Garfield memorabilia. She enjoyed planning for and purchasing items to use for arts and crafts projects, even if she didn’t always complete them. Barb cherished every moment she got to spend with her family and the fond memories she made on the family farm.

As a child, Barb received excellent care at the University of Iowa Hospitals, and as a result, became a lifelong Iowa Hawkeye fan. She loved watching the Hawkeyes play, regardless of the sport. Barb’s cat, Herkey, was her constant companion.

Barb is survived by her siblings, Mona Eggen of Beloit, WI, Michael “Mike” (Pat) Donovan of Luxemburg, WI and David (Mariette) Donovan of Oregon, WI; numerous nieces and nephews; and her sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Edna; her sister, Sandy Osler; her brothers, Dale, Roger, Jim, Larry, Gene, Pat and Ken; and several nieces and nephews.
