Waukon cross country boys finish third at home invitational, second at Crestwood

The Waukon boys cross country team faced its busiest week of competition so far this season, taking part in two meets that book-ended the past week. The distance Indians first placed third at their own Waukon Invitational Monday, September 24, a meet rescheduled from Tuesday, September 18 due to rainy weather. The Tribe then finished second behind Class 1A eighth-rated South Winneshiek at the Crestwood Invitational Saturday, September 29.

The Indians were next scheduled to compete at the South Winneshiek Invitational Tuesday, October 2 before preparing for their Northeast Iowa Conference Meet Tuesday, October 9 at Waverly. The distance Tribe will then get ready for its Class 2A State Qualifying Meet to be held Thursday, October 18 at a site yet to be officially announced.
