The Waukon girls golf team played another pair of back-to-back meets this past week and put both of them in the win column, including the golf Tribe’s first Northeast Iowa Conference (NEIC) win of the season. That NEIC triumph came by just two strokes, 222-224, over Waverly-Shell Rock at home Monday, April 8 before the Indians completed the consecutive night sweep with a 213-277 win over MFL/MarMac at Tri-City Golf Course in Luana Tuesday, April 9.

“We are working hard for team consistency and scores are coming down,” Waukon girls golf coach Kathy McMillan said. “Good team chemistry and practicing for a purpose makes a positive end result.”
The Indians were next scheduled to play three consecutive meets on the road, traveling to Decorah Monday, April 15, to Caledonia, MN Tuesday, April 16 and then to Sumner-Fredericksburg Thursday, April 18. The golf Tribe will then host Crestwood Monday, April 22 and then New Hampton Friday, April 26.
