Court selected for Homecoming 2019 being celebrated at Waukon High School this week ...

Students at Waukon High School have selected their Homecoming representatives for 2019, with the coronation of this year's Homecoming Queen and King set to take place at the traditional "Burning of the 'W'" pep rally scheduled for this Thursday evening, October 3, beginning at 7 p.m. at Waukon High School. Pictured in the photo above at right are this year's Waukon High School Homecoming Queen and King candidates from the 2019-2020 Senior class, including: Left to right - Front row: Queen candidates Hailey Regan, Carissa Bockman, Alison Sherman and Leah Bulman; Back row: King candidates Dawson Baures, Alyx Ede, Brock Hatlan and Reed Kelly. Pictured in the photo below, front to back and left to right, are Junior Class attendants Regan Griffith and Ibrahim Dabo, Sophomore Class attendants Morgan Stortz and Braden Hemann, and Freshman Class attendants Jasmine Schomacker and James Johanningmeier. The parade route for this Friday's Homecoming Parade at 2 p.m. will begin at the Waukon Banquet Center parking lot in south Waukon and end at the Waukon High School parking lot, traveling from the Waukon Banquet Center up Rossville Road/Spring Avenue to its stoplight intersection with Main Street before heading west to Sixth Street NW, north past East Elementary School to Third Avenue NW and then west up to the Waukon High School.
