Waukon wrestling team surrenders pair of home duals to Decorah and Caledonia by nearly equal scores, places eighth at Starmont Tournament


Win by decision gives team its final lead ... The Waukon wrestling team completed a busy latter half of this past week, hosting a pair of teams for a double dual before wrapping up its 2019 schedule with a final weekend tournament for the calendar year. The Indians played host to both Decorah and Caledonia, MN at that Thursday, December 19 double dual at home, falling by nearly equal team scores of 63-9 to the Vikings in a Northeast Iowa Conference dual and by a 62-9 count to the Warriors from north of the border in Minnesota. The mat Tribe wrapped up its week with an eighth-place finish at the annual Doug Guilford Tournament hosted by Starmont High School Saturday, December 21.

The wrestling Tribe is currently on its holiday break. The Indians will return to action Friday, January 3 for a multi-team dual event at South Winneshiek.
