Kee girls basketball team extends win streak to four before having it halted on the road

The Kee girls basketball team split its past week of competition, putting one of two games this past week on each side of the win-loss column. The Lady Hawks opened the week with a 51-18 victory at home over a Clayton Ridge team with just two wins on the season Tuesday, January 21 before making up an early-season rescheduled contest at Class 3A Waukon Thursday, January 23 and coming out on the short end of a 54-31 final result.

Now holding a 10-5 season record that includes a 7-4 Upper Iowa Conference mark, the Kee girls were next scheduled to play at Central Elkader Tuesday, January 28 before also playing at North Fayette Valley Friday, January 31. The Lady Hawks will then face a busy week with three more Upper Iowa Conference road dates, traveling to MFL/MarMac Tuesday, February 4 before making up a January 17 postponement at Turkey Valley Thursday, February 6 and then playing at South Winneshiek Friday, February 7. The Kee girls will wrap up their regular season Tuesday, February 11 at home against Spring Grove, MN.

Postseason tournament play is slated to begin February 13 for Class 1A. Location, match-up and time specifics are scheduled be released February 5-6.
