Crowned and serving as 2020 Miss Iowa Angus...

Allie Bieber, daughter of Ed and Amy Bieber of Waukon and a junior at Waukon High School, was crowned Miss Iowa Angus for 2020 at the 2019 Iowa State Fair held in August of last year in Des Moines. Although crowned last August, Bieber’s reign as Miss Iowa Angus did not begin until year 2020 and her first event was the National Western Stock Show held in Denver, CO during the month of January, where she is pictured in the submitted photo at right with Miss American Angus Eva Hinrichsen, who represents the entire United States for the American Angus Association.

As Miss Iowa Angus, Bieber will represent the Iowa Angus Association at promotional events and shows and will serve as an “agvocate” (agriculture advocate) in promoting the Angus breed and agriculture in the beef industry. She will travel the state of Iowa and across the United States this year to learn about and promote the Angus Association. As a state representative, Bieber will also have the opportunity to run for Miss American Angus in the future.

Her already busy schedule as Miss Iowa Angus also includes, so far, the Iowa Beef Expo in Des Moines in February; Raising the Bar Conference in Denver, CO in April, a three-day conference designed to build stronger leaders within state associations and create regional relationships while preparing Junior Angus Association members for the future; the National Junior Angus Show in July in Harrisburg, PA, where she will show livestock and participate in meetings and contests with her Iowa Junior Angus Members; the LEAD (Leaders Engaged in Angus Development) Conference in Orlando, FL in August, which helps guide Junior members who will, in turn, take part in guiding their respective associations; in addition to working and showing her own animals at the Iowa Junior Angus Shows across Iowa this summer.

This past year, Bieber has been serving as the 2019 Iowa Angus Princess, an honor she was bestowed at the Iowa Angus Association Annual Banquet held during the Iowa Beef Expo in Des Moines in February of last year. As the Iowa Angus Princess, her duties mainly revolved around handing out awards at Iowa Angus Shows.
