Waukon bowling teams sweep Sumner-Fredericksburg at home

Roll past the 300 mark ... For the second time this season, both the Waukon girls and boys bowling teams came away victorious from a scheduled date, both squads recording victories at home over Sumner-Fredericksburg Friday, January 29. The Indian girls came away with a 2096-1876 victory for their fourth meet victory on the season and the Tribe boys completed the sweep by pulling out a close triumph, 2534-2509, to pick up their third victory of this 2020-2021 campaign.

The Indians had a winter weather threat cancel their Conference Tournament that had been scheduled for Saturday, January 30 at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo.

The Indians are next slated to wrap up their regular season schedule by hosting Denver Friday, February 5 before having some team members compete in an individual tournament at New Hampton Saturday, February 13. The bowling Tribe will then prepare for postseason tournament action, which begins Monday, February 15 at Oelwein for the boys and Tuesday, February 16 at Dubuque for the girls.
