Waukon girls golf team remains undefeated with win over Waverly-Shell Rock and sweep of three other teams at home

The Waukon girls golf team continued its early-season streak of success by defeating four more opponents to remain undefeated two weeks into this spring’s campaign at 7-0. The Lady Indians first began their home schedule with a second Northeast Iowa Conference victory, 203-229 over Waverly-Shell Rock Monday, April 12. The golf Tribe then swept three opponents in a home quadrangular Tuesday, April 13, tallying 210 strokes to leave Decorah (280), Postville (284) and MFL/MarMac (310) well behind.

The Lady Indians were next scheduled to host Charles City and Oelwein Monday, April 19 before playing at Caledonia, MN Tuesday, April 20. The golf Tribe will then play in a triangular hosted by Sumner-Fredericksburg Tuesday, April 27 at Sumner that also includes Waterloo Columbus, before playing in another triangular at New Hampton Thursday, April 29 against the host Chickasaws and Waverly-Shell Rock and then playing in a Saturday, May 1 tournament at Oneota Golf & Country Club in Decorah.
