VMH Auxiliary to hold Pillow Perk and Masquerade Sales Monday, October 25

The Auxiliary of Veterans Memorial Hospital will be holding its annual Pillow Perk this year Monday, October 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Lower Level of Veterans Memorial Hospital. Kraft Pillow Service will be on site to make old pillows look like new. Everyone is encouraged to bring in their feather pillows to the Pillow Perk to be cleaned, sanitized and given new ticking. Foam and Dacron pillows may also be renovated by this process. People are also encouraged to bring in their feather beds and have them made into new pillows. Everyone is instructed to enter the hospital through the lower level loading dock entrance and to have their pillows in plastic bags marked with their name when they drop them off. Directional signage will be located on the street right outside that door.

Masquerade Sales
The Auxiliary is also holding its eighth annual Masquerade jewelry and accessories sale that same day as well. Masquerade is a company that hosts these sales only at hospitals throughout the country. They will be visiting Veterans Memorial Hospital from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, October 25. The hours were extended again this year to 6 p.m. to accommodate those working. Numerous tables of jewelry, scarves, hair accessories, leggings, lunch bags, organizers, flashlights, lunch bags, mittens, billfolds, hats, etc., will be on display throughout the ICN Conference Room and lower level of the hospital.  Each item is sold for just $5. This is a great opportunity to find many unique stocking stuffers at a very reasonable cost in time for the holidays.

The ICN Room is a new location for this sale and is very conveniently and safely located right inside the lower level south door of the hospital, alongside the Gundersen Clinic. All visitors are asked to enter through that lower level door. Signage will be available along the street for this event as well. Parking for both the Pillow Perk and Masquerade sales will be available on the east side of the hospital, along the golf course. It is asked that everyone enter through the lower level entrances and not the main hospital entrance for these events. It is also requested that face masks be worn. The proceeds the Auxiliary receives from both events will be used to purchase a new infant hearing screening machine for the Maternity Services Department.
