The Kee boys basketball returned from its holiday break to play its busiest week of the entire season, finding some early success before losing some steam in its fourth and final game for a lone loss of the week. That early success began with back-to-back nights of victory in a pair of close ballgames, 64-60 at Waukon Monday, January 3 and 60-55 Tuesday, January 4 at home against South Winneshiek, with a third straight victory of the new year coming at home Friday, January 7 against West Central, 74-44. Kee’s fourth game of the week, and its second of a second pair of back-to-back battles, saw the bucket Hawks run out of gas a bit in falling to Hudson by a 74-49 result as part of a multi-team, multi-game Winter Classic event hosted by Upper Iowa University in Fayette Saturday, January 8.

Currently holding a 6-5 season record that includes a 4-2 in Upper Iowa Conference play, the Kee basketball boys were next scheduled to play back-to-back nights at home, hosting North Fayette Valley Thursday, January 13 in a game rescheduled from December 17 before welcoming Central Elkader to town Friday, January 14. The Hawks will then host Charles City Monday, January 17 and Postville Tuesday, January 18 before traveling to Turkey Valley Friday, January 21.
