Waukon girls track team turns in busy week of three meets in four nights, top-five finishes in all include a win at the Kee Invitational

The Waukon girls track team ended up completing an incredibly busy week of competition this past week, participating in three different meets in a matter of four nights. Those three nights on the track and in the field proved fairly successful, as the track Tribe recorded top-five team finishes in all three meets, starting with a fifth-place finish at the Crestwood Invitational in Cresco Tuesday, April 19. The Lady Indians then wrapped up the week with back-to-back nights of competition, winning the Kee Invitational in Lansing they abruptly added to their schedule Thursday, April 21 and then coming in fourth at the North Fayette Valley Invitational in West Union the next night, Friday, April 22.

The Waukon girls were next slated to host their own Indian Relays Tuesday, April 26 before competing in the MFL/MarMac Invitational Thursday, April 28. The track Tribe will then compete in the Edgewood-Colesburg Invitational Monday, May 2 before taking part in the Northeast Iowa Conference Meet at Waverly-Shell Rock Thursday, May 5 and then preparing for their Class 2A State Qualifying Meet scheduled for Thursday, May 12.
