Allamakee County Beef Royalty 2022 crowned ...

The Allamakee County Cattleman’s Association crowned its 2022 Beef Royalty at its annual grilling event held Monday, May 23 at the Allamakee County Fairgrounds in Waukon. Pictured in the submitted photo above, left to right, with flowers donated by Sycamore Floral are 2022 Allamakee County Beef Princesses Natalie Byrnes and Gracelyn Donahue and 2022 Allamakee County Beef Queen Mallory Mohn.

Mallory Mohn is the daughter of Clint and Noelle Mohn of Lansing and a sophomore at Kee High School in Lansing. Her sponsors are S.S. Houseboat Rentals and Mississippi Meats. In school, Mallory is involved in FFA, Student Council, the yearbook and The Talon school newspaper. After high school, she plans to work and own part of the family farm and be an agribusiness manager.

Gracelyn Donahue is the daughter of Samantha and Cory Donahue of Harpers Ferry and a freshman at Waukon High School. Her sponsors are Kerndt Brothers Bank and Luana Savings Bank. In school, Gracelyn is involved in FFA, basketball and softball, and she is a member of the 4-H Toppers. After high school, she plans to major in something related to business management in agriculture or the healthcare field.

Natalie Byrnes is the daughter of Dan and Traci Byrnes of Waukon and a sophomore at Waukon High School. Her sponsor is Byrnes Brothers Angus. In school, she is involved in FFA, and she is an active member of the River Valley Panthers 4-H club, a 4-H County Council Youth representative of the 4-H Youth Development Committee, and her church. After majoring in the medical field, Natalie plans to return to northeast Iowa and assist on the farm while working.
