Natasha Walleser

Natasha Lynn Walleser, age 27, of Lansing passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 surrounded by family at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. She was the beautiful daughter of Fred and the late Dora Walleser. She was the loving older sister of Ethan, Michael and Michelle.

There will be a service in her honor at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing at 1 p.m. Friday, February 17, followed by a visitation and celebration of life at TJ Hunters Banquet Hall starting at 3 p.m. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.

Natasha’s passion and intelligence drove her to be Kee High School’s Class of 2013 valedictorian and a graduate of Luther College with a degree in International Studies. She dedicated her adult life to helping those in need. She spent time working in refugee resettlement and later went on to work with underprivileged kids in Des Moines at the Boys & Girls Club. Her club kids affectionately knew her as “Miss Natasha,” their favorite cooking buddy and a menace on the basketball court.

Her witty sense of humor never faltered. With her endless puns, her “exquisite” sense of fashion, and her ceaseless singing, she radiated vibrant and infectious joy. She spent her free time crocheting, experimenting with ceramics, horseback riding, watching movies, and playing with her dog, Sable, at the park.

She cherished her Iowan and Mexican families and the time she was able to spend with them. She will be eternally missed by those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dora; her brother, Michael; her grandparents; her abuelos; and other members of her extended family. She leaves behind her father, Fred, and his wife, Nidia; her brother, Ethan; her sister, Michelle; and many loving cousins, aunts and uncles.
