As this year’s spring play production, the Kee High School Drama Department will be presenting “Be My Ghost” by Tim Kelly through Pioneer Drama Service on the stage in the Kee High School gymnasium. Show times will be Saturday, April 1 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 2 at 2 p.m. with admission payable at the door.

The two-act comedy tells the story of young George Travis, a horror fiction writer who has writer’s block. Travis travels to rural New Hampshire where his eccentric Aunt Julia has willed him Black Raven Inn, a gloomy summer hotel. Local villagers say the place is haunted by the dangerous spirit of Mercy Appleton. When Young and his bride-to-be (Betty) arrive on a dark and stormy night, all kinds of terror unfolds as high school students, detoured from a Halloween celebration, seek shelter; Rootin’-Tootin’, an Egyptian mummy, is delivered for storage; a Hollywood agent drops in; two weird sisters collect roadkill so they can practice taxidermy; and, of course, someone is murdered. Will George and Betty make it through the night?
