Allamakee Community School District to participate in Summer Feeding Program

The Allamakee Community School District is offering a Summer Feeding Program again this summer at no charge, with the first session of that program beginning this Thursday, June 1 and taking place each weekday through Wednesday, June 28. Any youth 18 years of age and under may come to the Waukon Middle School cafeteria, located at 1059 3rd Avenue NW in Waukon, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. each of those days for lunch, with that lunch menu pictured at right below.

New this year, instead of an in-person breakfast offering each morning, a grab-and-go breakfast meal will be offered during each day’s in-person lunch session. Those attending the lunch sessions may take a breakfast meal with them for the following morning when they leave. The grab-and-go breakfast menu is pictured below at left.

There are no income requirements to participate in this Summer Feeding Program, and no registration is necessary. More information can be found by calling Allamakee Community School District Food Service Secretary Kay Gavin at 563-217-3870 or under the Food Service link at the top right of the Allamakee Community School District website at https://allamakee.k12.ia.us/.
