Main Street Lansing celebrates growth, community impact at Annual Meeting

Main Street Lansing Business of the Year ... Main Street Lansing welcomed nearly 40 community members, volunteers, and local leaders to its Annual Meeting held Thursday, March 27 at The Buck Stops Here on Main Street in Lansing. The evening served as a celebration of the organization’s 2024 accomplishments, a look ahead at exciting new initiatives, and an opportunity to recognize the individuals and businesses making a difference in downtown Lansing.

Board of Directors President Chris Troendle opened the meeting with remarks on transparency, communication, and the power of community engagement. He emphasized the importance of celebrating the momentum of the past year while continuing to build a vibrant and welcoming downtown.

Members unanimously approved the following slate of board officers: Chris Troendle as President, Andrew Boddicker as Secretary, and Kelli Mudderman as Treasurer. Confirmed members at-large include: Bruce Palmborg, Curtis Snitker, Sarah Murray, Melissa Hammell, and Maryann Baldwin. Ex-Officio members include Hannah Steiber and Donna Thomas (Eastern Allamakee Community School District), Elisha Marti (Kerndt Brothers Bank), and Steve Murray (City of Lansing).

CELEBRATING IMPACT
Main Street Lansing Executive Director Jackie Cooper shared year-in-review highlights that included 726 volunteer hours in 2024, valued at over $22,000; over 38,000 volunteer hours since 2012, exceeding $1 million in value; 23 projects and initiatives in 2024 alone; and $739,000 in private investment in downtown through building sales, improvements, and the Tax Abatement Program.
