Frances Lindsay

Frances Arlene Lindsay, 90, of Lansing passed away at home September 14, 2025. There are no services planned.

Frances was born April 4, 1935, to Olavis and Sandora (Shervin) Holm in Decorah, where she spent her childhood. She enjoyed being outdoors, water skiing, playing pool, and going to Fan Fair in Nashville, TN.

March 30, 1970, Frances and Thomas Lindsay were united in marriage in Blair, NE. She had various jobs throughout the years, including meter maid, working with her husband at the downtown standard, and working for Riverland Expressions in Lansing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olavis and Sandora Holm; her son, Corey Cooper; her brothers, Merlyn Holm and Ralph Holm; her sisters, Ollie Melka, Violet Mcmullin, Esther Reckward and Helen Christianson; and her nieces, Jo and Mary Christianson.

Frances is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Thomas Lindsay; her children, Marcia Pierce, Robert Lindsay, and Gerry (Laurie) Lindsay; her grandchildren, Jeff Pierce, Lori (Brad) Rutz and Chris Jones; and one great-grandchild, Dylan Pierce.
