DJ and Melissa Niccum of La Crescent, MN announce the birth of their daughter, Kinsley Marie Niccum, born January 29, 2016 at 9:14 a.m. at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI. She weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 20-3/4 inches in length at her birth. She joins a big brother, Chase Niccum.
Grandparents are Arne and Janet Beneke of New Albin, Pat Niccum of Waumandee, WI and Linda Niccum of Cochrane, WI. Great-grandmother is Rose Marie Winters of Waukon.
 

Ed and Cassie Schoenthal of Cresco announce the birth of their daughter, Monroe Jalynn Schoenthal, born February 13, 2016 at Regional Health Services in Cresco. She weighed 9 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at her birth.
Grandparents are Joel and Janice Thorson of Dorchester, and Jerry and Carol Schoenthal of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Owen and Carol Thorson of Spring Grove, MN, Lennie and Sherry Mellick of New Albin, Curtis Schoenthal of Waukon, and Lawrence and Genevieve Sadler of Dunkerton.
 

Kyle and Jamie Klepper of Decorah announce the birth of their daughter, Emersyn Monica Klepper, born February 22, 2016. She weighed 7 lbs. 9.4 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth.
Grandparents are Jesse Massman and Tami Massman of Decorah, and Ken and Vicki Klepper of Castalia.
 

The children of Esther Walleser of Waukon are hosting an open house Sunday, March 13 in honor of her 90th birthday. The celebration is being held from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at T.J. Hunters, located at 377 Main Street in Lansing. Live music will be provided by D.R.’s of Rhythm & Soul.

Nichol Roberts Dougherty and Josh Dougherty of Waterloo announce the birth of their daughter, Delaney Marie Dougherty, born Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 2:55 p.m. in Waterloo. She weighed 9 lbs. 12ozs. and measured 22-1/4 inches in length at her birth.
Grandparents are Janaan (Larkin) and Mike Roberts of Maquoketa. Great-grandparents are Patsy and Herb Larkin of Waukon.
 

Joshua and Courtney Hedeman of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Jazlee-Jo Jacquelynn Hedeman, born February 8, 2016 at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 21 inches at her birth. She joins a sibling, Carszn (1-1/2)
Grandparents are Lori and Robyn Hedeman of Harpers Ferry, Robynn and Ryan Konsor of Aberdeen, SD and Timothy Alberts of Lansing. Great-grandparents are Mel and Emmett Nesteby of Lansing.

Jordyn Enyart and Michael Roth, Jr. of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Gabriella Leah Roth, born February 14, 2016 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 11 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth.
Grandparents are Mike and Diane Roth of Waukon, Carl and Kelly Wille of Waukon, and Scott Enyart of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Brenda and Robbie Burrett of Waterville, Russell and Sharon Roth of Waukon, Vickie and Hartley Enyart of Waukon, and Pat and Patty O’Neill of Waukon. Great-great-grandmother is Lucille Smock of Decorah.

Amanda and Robert Burgin of Dundee announce the birth of their son, Matthew Lloyd Burgin, born February 17, 2016 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 8 ozs and measured 21 inches in length at his birth. He joins siblings Madison Ann and Zachary John.
 

Sarah Marie Kruse and Matthew Alan Welsh were united in marriage Friday, August 14, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in George. The bride is the daughter of Steven Wm. and Darla Kruse of George, and the granddaughter of Daryle and Hermina Hilbrands. The groom is the son of Joseph and Darcy Welsh of Waukon, and the grandson of Jim and Mary Nagel and Sarah Welsh.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Steven Wm. Kruse. Pastor John Wolf and Lay Pastor Chad Duffy officiated the wedding ceremony. Maria Mathis, aunt of the groom, and Cindy Onken and Joyce Kramer, aunts of the bride, served as readers.
Melissa Kruse, the bride’s sister, served as Maid of Honor, and Kim Dykstra, friend of the bride, was Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids included friends of the bride, Kayla Reck, Jessica Slocum and Kelsey Proehl, and Leah Welsh, sister of the groom.

Plans are progressing for the Waterville All-School Reunion to be held June 25-26 of this year. The reunion is for anyone who is or ever has been associated with the school in Waterville in any way, including alumni, teachers, board members, secretaries, bus drivers and cooks. Family members and descendants of these folks are also invited and encouraged to join in the festivities and share memories.
