Birth announcement: Welsh

Clint and Kelly Welsh of Lansing announce the birth of their son, Easden Ellsworth Welsh, October 24, 2015 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. He weighed 8 lbs., 4 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth.  He joins a brother, Oden (4), and a sister, Ada (2).  
Grandparents are Richard and Bettina Dibert of New Albin and Gary and Kim Welsh of Lansing. Great- grandparents are Helen and the late Clemen Dibert of Urbana, OH, Ben and Betty Yocum of Riverview, FL, and Duane and Marian Meier,  Esther Welsh and the late William Welsh, all of Lansing.

Bulman, McNamara wed at September 19 ceremony

Family and friends gathered Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Kolsrud Memorial Park in Waterville to witness the union of Jessica Bulman and Tom McNamara.
Jennifer Bulman, sister of the bride, was the Maid of Honor. The Best Man was Mike McNamara, brother of the groom. Lexie and Peyton McNamara, daughters of the couple, were the Flower Girls.
Parents of the bride are David Bulman of Waukon and Donna Bulman of Cresco. The groom’s parents are Pat and Kathy McNamara of Waukon.
Grandparents of the bride are Dan and Virginia McGuire of Clermont. The groom’s grandmothers are Lois Greif of Prairieburg and Lois McNamara of Anamosa.
The bride graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville in December 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and currently works for Utility Lines Construction. The groom works on the McNamara farm.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the McNamara family farm.

Ray and Carole Sickles to celebrate 60th anniversary

Ray and Carole Sickles of Lansing will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary November 17. They were married in Caledonia, MN in 1955 and have lived in Lansing for the last 60 years. They have been blessed with seven children, 20 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild with another due February 28, 2016. Their children are hosting a celebration to mark the occasion Saturday, November 14 at Milty’s in Lansing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

J.C. and Natalie Kelly of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Grace Millie Kelly, October 23, 2015 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 9 lbs., 9.6 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins two siblings, Lauren (7) and Cole (5).
Grandparents are Cici Mueller of Postville, Bruce and Betty Mueller of Postville and Jeff and Mary Ann Kelly of Waterville. Great-grandmothers are Doris Mueller of Algona and Alberta Troendle of Lansing.

Ian and Amy McCormick of Waterville announce the birth of their daughter, Ezra Mae McCormick, October 27, 2015 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs., 12 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins two siblings, Cael (10) and Leo (18 months).
Grandparents are Kenneth and Janice McCormick of Lansing and John and Von Collins of Waukon. Great-grandfather is Oliver Roderick of Waukon.

Nicholette Breimon and Reggie Schulte of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Colton Michael Schulte, October 23, 2015 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 5 lbs., 8.8 ozs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of his birth.
Grandparents are Katherine Hanchett, Guy Spores and Diane Schulte, all of Waukon. Great-grandmother is Delia Beall of Waukon.

Meyer, Wagner to wed Nov. 7


Tatum Meyer and Michael Wagner

Tatum Anne Meyer and Michael Steven Wagner, both of Monona, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. They plan to exchange vows November 7 at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Waukon.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Donald and Mary Meyer of Waukon. She is a 2010 graduate of Waukon Senior High School and is currently attending Northeast Iowa Community College for Nursing. She is also currently employed as a universal worker at Garden View Senior Community Center in Monona.
The groom-elect is the son of Steven and Paula Wagner of Monona. He is a 2009 graduate of MFL/MarMac High School and a 2011 graduate of Northeast Iowa Community College where he received an associate’s degree in Agriculture Business. He currently works on the family dairy farm, Wagner Dairy of Monona.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Keith and Norma Borcherding of Manchester. The groom-elect is the son of Roger and Lora Knott of McGregor and Ron Fahey of Chicago, IL.

Waterville All-School Reunion planned for June 26, 2016

Waterville High School alumni and those who have ever attended the Waterville School, along with their guests, are invited to join in an All-School Reunion Sunday June 26, 2016 at the Waukon Banquet Center. Registration for the event will begin at 11 a.m. that Sunday followed by a program, meal and recognition of individuals and classes. There will also be abundant time for visiting and interacting with classmates and friends.
Tours of the school buildings and the Waterville Public Library where all the class photos are displayed are planned for Saturday, June 25. Individual classes may plan Saturday evening gatherings, and those former students should make their own arrangements accordingly.
