Jane and Ken Staggemeyer of New Albin will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Jane Beneke and Ken Staggemeyer were married October 5, 1968 at St. John’s United Church of Christ (Wheatland) in rural New Albin.

They are the parents of Jennifer (Kris Ames) Burroughs of New Albin, Josh (Cindy) Staggemeyer of Caledonia, MN and Heidi (Dennis) Myhre of Eitzen, MN. Their grandchildren are Ian and Logan Burroughs, Mason, Jacob and Kylie Staggemeyer and Eric, Lyle and Aften Myhre.
 

Brenda and Blake Lange of St. Olaf announce the birth of their daughter, Davinee Rae Lange, born August 7, 2018 at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien, WI. She weighed 8 lbs. 4 ozs. and measured 20.9 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a big sister, Keeley Curran (11).

Grandparents are Bonnie (David) Lange of Monona and Raymond and Rhonda Curran of St. Olaf. Great-grandparents are Kathleen (Duane) Lange of Monona, June (Roderick) Freilinger of Monona, Dale and Mary Dettman (Clark Curran) of St. Olaf and Donald (Judy) Kuhse of Postville.

Tyler and Bailey Roth of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Finley Steven Roth, born September 22, 2018 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 21.5 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Steven and Amy Johnson and Michael and Diane Roth, all of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Bill and Edna Wyninger of Lansing, Russell and Sharen Roth of Waukon, Robbie and Brenda Burrett of Waterville and Gary and Mary Johnson of Waukon.
 

Jenny and Daren Dietrich of Decorah announce the birth of their son, Dawson Duane Dietrich, born September 21, 2018 (his Grandpa Dietrich’s birthday) at Mayo Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. He weighed 7 lbs. 4 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Mark and Rose Harberts of Elgin, the late Deb Harberts, Jane Dietrich of Waukon and the late Duane Dietrich.
 

The family of Connie Luster will be hosting an open house celebration in honor of her 90th birthday Saturday, October 13 from 12-3 p.m. The open house will be held at the Legion Hall in Harpers Ferry.

The Waukon High School Class of 1958 will be holding its 60-year class reunion September 29 at Green Valley Getaway in Waukon.

The event begins with registration and happy hour at 5 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Those who have additional questions about the event may contact Sharon Pratte at 563-568-2742.

The Waukon High School Class of 1961 will meet September 28 at 11:30 a.m. at Gus & Tony’s for lunch. All classmates are invited to attend.

Becky and Matt Rea of Lansing announce the birth of their son, Weston James Rea, born September 7, 2018 in La Crosse, WI. He weighed 6 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Brinnly (5) and Brady (2).

Grandparents are Greg and Jean Rea of Lansing and James and Janet McLaren of Independence. Great-grandparents are Evelyn Staggemeyer of Eitzen, MN, Arelene McLaren of Independence and Betty Osvald of Independence.

Josh and Whitney Anderson of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Emery Elaine Anderson, born September 14, 2018 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 21-1/4 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Jaxon (6), Braxton (5) and Tila (5).

Grandparents are Tom and Shawny Jones of Waukon, Matt and Dawn Teslow of Waukon and Joel Anderson of Decorah. Great-grandparents are Kate and Dayton Jones of Harpers Ferry, Richard and Elaine Anderson of Decorah, Sherri Lewey of Waukon and Darlene Hartkemeyer of Cedar Rapids.
 

The 50-year reunion of the Glenwood Lutheran Church confirmation class of 1968 will be held October 7. The class will be the honored guests at the 10:30 a.m.  church service with a potluck dinner to follow.

Anyone confirmed 50 years or more will be recognized and everyone in the congregation, confirmation class, families and friends are invited to attend the potluck dinner. The reunion members of 1968 are not required to bring any food.

The 50-year confirmation reunion was started in 1959 when the class of 1909 was honored and has been a tradition ever since. The class of 1967 will be in charge of hosting the dinner for the confirmation class.
