Waukon boys basketball team falls to pair of NEIC opponents during busy week

The Waukon boys basketball team competed in its busiest week of the season so far, wedging a lone home victory in between two road losses to Northeast Iowa Conference foes. The Indians were dealt a 64-48 loss at Class 3A top-five rated Waverly-Shell Rock Tuesday, December 16 before a split of back-to-back games to end the week, including a 66-56 win at home over MFL/MarMac Thursday, December 18 and an 81-55 loss at New Hampton Friday, December 19.
Sporting an even, 3-3 overall record, 0-3 in Northeast Iowa Conference play prior to the holiday break, the Indians will resume action Friday, January 2 with a home non-conference match-up with Clayton Ridge. The Tribe will then remain at home Monday, January 5 against Kee, Tuesday, January 6 against Crestwood and Saturday, January 10 against Prairie du Chien, WI.
