Joan (Malin) and Kent McCormick of Waterville are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple married January 24, 1976 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Genoa, WI.

The couple’s family includes three children and eight grandchildren, including Keith (Amy) and their children, Kole, Keira and Kennedy, and Mike (Hollee) and their children, Reese, Tade and Olivia, all of Harpers Ferry, and Jake (Emily) and their children, Zoey and Hayden, of Waterville.

John P. Burke of Waukon will be observing his 70th birthday January 27. A surprise birthday celebration will be held Friday, January 30 from 3-8 p.m. at the New Albin Town House in New Albin. The public is invited to attend.

Nevaeh and Karson Lubben of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Kolter Joel Lubben, born January 1, 2026 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 12 ozs. and measured 20-1/4 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Judd and Shelly Lubben of Greeley, Chastity Bushaw of Waukon, Danny Bushaw of Strawberry Point, and Addie and Donnie Copeland of Florida. Great-grandparents are Rose Schaffer of Greeley, Francis Lubben of Greeley, Ray and Cathy

A celebration is planned in honor of the retirement of Dan and Lori Treangen. The retirement open house will be held Friday, January 9 from 5-8 p.m. at AJ’s Sports Bar, 9 East Main Street in Waukon.

Brady and Kayla Olson of Luana announce the birth of their daughter, Elle Piper Olson, born November 19, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs. 8 ozs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a brother, Cohen Olson (18 months).

Grandparents are Chad and Erin Keehner and Bruce and Erika Olson, all of Luana. 

Logan and Sam Glawe of Monona announce the birth of their son, Keatyn Richard Glawe, born November 3, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 6 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a brother, Kaseyn Glawe (3).

Grandparents are Doug and Peggy McNally of Monona, Nin Glawe of Monona, and Troy Glawe of Littleport.

Jacob and Caty Bruening of Eitzen, MN announce the birth of their son, Martin Henry Bruening, born October 31, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 8 ozs. and measured 21-1/4 inches in length at the time of his birth.
 

Eddie and Ruby Gingerich of Elgin announce the birth of their daughter, Almalyn Joy Gingerich, born October 19, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 5 lbs. 7 ozs. and measured 18 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Kyle Eli (5), Rudy LaVon (4) and Makayla Beth (2).

Grandparents are Rudy Gingerich Jr. of Clermont and Andy and Katie Kauffman of Elgin. Great-grandparents are Eli and Lorene Kauffman of Hazleton and Mary Gingerich of Fairbank.

Carter and Jasmine Snitker of Farmersburg announce the birth of their daughter, Codie Jade Snitker, born October 22, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 9 lbs. 11 ozs. and measured 22 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Layne Snitker (3) and Kolson Snitker (1-1/2).
