KJ and Ashley Medberry of Waterville announce the birth of their daughter, Maylee Elizabeth Medberry, born August 26, 2026 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Ava (14), Carleigh (10), Tucker (8), Ledger (5), Braeley (3) and Charlee (2).

Grandparents are Dave and Melissa Fish of Waukon and Sue and Russ Medberry of Wadena. Great-grandparents are Darlene and Arnold Gibbs, Dave and Charlotte Fish of Waterville, and John and Lois Adam of Waukon. Great-great-grandparents are Mary Ann Duffy of Decorah, and Dolores Fish of Rossville.

Carter and Aubree Fuhrman of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Tatum Lynn Fuhrman, born August 24, 2026 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 7 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth.

Grandparents are Nicole and Joseph Irvin, Kathleen and Nathan Black, and Hannah and James Cota, all of Waukon, and Holly and Roger Fuhrman of Shakopee, MN. Great-grandparents are Shirley Colsch of Waukon, Harlan Block of Klemme, Mark and Nancy Reiser of Waukon, Rich and Lajune Cota of Waukon, and Donnie and Linda Sawvell of Monona.

Adam and Morgan Walther of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Otto Brett Walther, born August 31, 2026 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 9 lbs. 4 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Ella (22 months).

Grandparents are Randy and Kathy Van Ruler of Waukon and Tammy and the late Brett Walther of Harpers Ferry. Great-grandparents are Howard and Dorthy Van Ruler of Waukon, Dale and Joann Meiners of Waukon, Ron Holmlund of Denver, and Robert Walther of Eldora.
 

Thomas and Diana (Zezulka) Deeney of Waukon are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple married September 3, 1966 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon with Rev. Msgr. Joseph J. Slepicka performing the wedding ceremony in addition to the renewal of their vows on their 40th wedding anniversary.

Their family includes children Leah (Chad) Angel of Waverly, Lana (Dustan) Snitker of Waukon, Charles (Andrea) Deeney of New Albin, James (Kelly) Deeney of Waukon, Joseph (Emily) Deeney of Solon, John (Sarah) Deeney of Omaha, NE and Matthew (Val) Deeney of Decorah. Grandchildren include Rhini, Cede, Trey (Sam), Cali, Kaedan, Meridian, Kyrie, Jared, Megan (Dakota), Macy (Cody), Gracie, Reid, Ava, Mya, Dottie, Birdy, Ollie, Jackie, Georgie, Simon, Owen, and great-grandchildren Braven and Kali.

Phil and Sheryl (Monson) Young of Waukon are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple married August 28, 1976 at Scheie Lutheran Church in Mabel, MN. When not traveling throughout the country, Phil and Sheryl enjoy playing cards, camping and taking scenic drives in their vintage Jeep.

Their family includes children Brandon and Erika (Roche) Young of Denver, CO, Blair Young of Los Angeles, CA and Brea Young of Tampa, FL, and grandchildren Alexus and Jayda Romero, Alex Longuefosse and Rowan and Beckett Young.
 

Gary and Alice (Baumgartner) Bulman of Lansing will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary Saturday, August 29 at Empty Nest Winery in rural Waukon with an open house from 1-4 p.m. The celebration will be hosted by their children Cindy, Gary, Greg and Clark.

The couple married August 26, 1956, at Salem United Church of Christ, Ludlow.

Kee High School and St. George 1967 graduates can mark their calendars for the 60-Year Class Reunion to take place September 19, 2027. The Reunion Committee has set that date with TJ Hunters in Lansing as the location for the 60-Year Class Reunion in 2027.
 

Kyle and Maleaha DeVary of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Bentley Shaw DeVary, born August 10, 2026 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. 

He weighed 6 lbs. 15 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins sisters, Triniti DeVary (4) and Aspen DeVary (8).

Grandparents are Teletha and Scooter Joyner of Waukon and Donna Dickson of Boscobel, WI. Darlene Johnson of Waukon is a great-grandparent.
