Jamie and Elaine Bodley of Waukon and Dave and Joan Schwartz of Waterville wish to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their children, Shelby Bodley and Sam Schwartz, both of Waukon. The wedding ceremony will take place October 12, 2019 at a barn in rural Waukon with a reception to follow at the Allamakee County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Waukon and a dance being held from 8 p.m. to midnight.

The bride-to-be is a 2013 graduate of Waukon High School and a 2018 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) in Cedar Falls with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. She is employed as a personal banker at Luana Savings Bank.

The groom-to-be is a 2014 graduate of Waukon High School and a 2015 graduate of Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) in Calmar with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dairy Science Technology. He is employed as a herdsman at RoLinda Acres in Waterville.

She weighed 8 lbs. 11 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Kade (8), Kohen (6) and Khloe (2).

Grandparents are Steve and Jane Johanningmeier of Waterville and Drew and Annette Deering of Postville. Great-grandparents are Robert and Sandra Deering of Postville.

Gerald Clemments and Alice Troendle were married October 4, 1969 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing.

The bride’s parents are Kent and Donna Schultz of Frankville. Her grandparents are Doris Eglseder and the late Bob Eglseder, and Byron Schultz and the late Darlene Schultz.

The groom’s parents are Bill and Linda Wells of Polk City. His grandparents are Sylvia Wells and the late David Wells, and the late Art and Phyllis Smith.

The bride is a graduate of Postville High School and University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. The groom is a graduate of Johnston High School and University of Iowa in Iowa City. The couple resides in Johnston and are both employed at Kemin Industry in Des Moines.

Kenneth J. and Karen A. (Schultz) Leppert celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary September 8, 2019 with a dinner for family and friends. They were married September 10, 1957 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Lansing.

They are parents of six children: Kimberly (Paul) Mauss of Onalaska, WI,  Kristin (Terry) Heiderscheit of Rochester, MN, Kyle (Laura Colsch) Leppert of Onalaska, WI, Kathy (John) Reinhart of La Crosse, WI,   Kari Beth (John) Adank of Onalaska, WI and Kraig (Marcella Hogan) Leppert of Onalaska, WI. They have thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
