Iona Reeves turned 100 years old February 24 and celebrated her 100th birthday this past Sunday, February 22 at her son’s and daughter-in-law’s home, Dale and Anna, in Salt Lake City, UT. Iona was born, raised, lived and worked on a dairy farm in Allamakee County her whole life until recently moving in with her family in Salt Lake City.

Mason and Tierney Hertrampf of Monona announce the birth of their daughter, Emery Ann Hertrampf, born January 31, 2026 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 9 ozs. and measured 20-1/4 inches in length at the time of her birth.

Grandparents are Trent and Tiffany Bodley of Postville and Joe and Shelley Hertrampf of Monona. Laurie Egan of Monona is a great-grandparent.

Mickayla Close and Brandon Kountkofsky of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Hartlee Renee Kountkofsky, born February 2, 2026 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 9 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Cy (7), Alex (6), Ezra (4) and Jenavii (1).

Grandparents are Ray Close of McGregor and Cindy and Mike Fritz of Florida.

Allen and Ella Mae Goeke are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. They were married February 5, 1956 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waukon.

Their family includes three sons, Mark, Jim and Jerry Goeke; two grandsons, Bill and Brian Goeke; and two great-grandsons, Benjamin and Grant Goeke.

Sam and Shelby Schwartz of Waterville announce the birth of their son, Hayes David Schwartz, born December 3, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 9 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Rhett (5) and Tatum (2).

Christopher Simmons and Emily Iseli of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Elizabeth Laurayne Simmons, born January 22, 2026 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs. 6 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Karsyn Simmons (12), Kaydahlynn Simmons (11), Karvyr Simmons (8) and Neil Simmons (1).
