Logan and Sam Glawe of Monona announce the birth of their son, Keatyn Richard Glawe, born November 3, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 6 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a brother, Kaseyn Glawe (3).

Grandparents are Doug and Peggy McNally of Monona, Nin Glawe of Monona, and Troy Glawe of Littleport.

Jacob and Caty Bruening of Eitzen, MN announce the birth of their son, Martin Henry Bruening, born October 31, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 8 ozs. and measured 21-1/4 inches in length at the time of his birth.
 

Eddie and Ruby Gingerich of Elgin announce the birth of their daughter, Almalyn Joy Gingerich, born October 19, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 5 lbs. 7 ozs. and measured 18 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Kyle Eli (5), Rudy LaVon (4) and Makayla Beth (2).

Grandparents are Rudy Gingerich Jr. of Clermont and Andy and Katie Kauffman of Elgin. Great-grandparents are Eli and Lorene Kauffman of Hazleton and Mary Gingerich of Fairbank.

Carter and Jasmine Snitker of Farmersburg announce the birth of their daughter, Codie Jade Snitker, born October 22, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 9 lbs. 11 ozs. and measured 22 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Layne Snitker (3) and Kolson Snitker (1-1/2).

Grandparents are Quentin and Jenny Schutte of Luana, Kevin Stocker of Waukee, Michelle Kishman of Prairie du Chien, WI, Bob Snitker of Rossville and Kurt Kishman of Farmersburg. Great-grandparents are Cathy and Kermit White of Postville, Ken and Kathy Stocker of Morning Sun, Cindy and Luther Schutte of Luana, Sharon Costello of Lansing and Mel Kishman of Farmersburg.

Nicole Heitman and Mitchell Williams of Mabel, MN announce the birth of their daughter, Molly Lee Williams, born September 26, 2025 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She weighed 6 lbs. 3 ozs. and measured 18-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sister, Marney Louise Williams.

Grandparents are Dave and Janette Heitman of Lansing, Ron and Stephanie Liddiard of Mabel, and Vance Williams and Kristine Allen of Rochester.

Riley and Kaylee Reis of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Macson Riley Reis, born September 21, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Chris and Kerri Gibbs of Waterville and Charlie and Shannon Reis of Lime Springs. Great-grandparents are Mike and Cindy Gibbs of Waterville, Lyle and Cindy Leikvold of Waukon, Mark and Winky Reis of Lime Springs and Neil and Ruth Wenthold of Cresco.

Dustin and Drew Gordon of Fayette announce the birth of their son, Easton Lee Gordon, born September 9, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 9 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Kerry and Kara Wedemeier of West Union and Chris and Janice Gordon of Maynard. Great-grandparents are MaryAnn Woodson of West Union and Lyle and Julie Gordon of Oelwein.

Barton and Marilyn (Kolsrud) Hamm of Waukon are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple married September 4, 1955 at Waterville Lutheran Church in Waterville.

The couple’s family includes four children: Greg (deceased) and wife Becky Hamm of Waukon, Jeff Hamm of Waterville, Sandy (Tim) Rathe of Urbana, and Brad Hamm of Waterville. Their family also includes several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The descendants of two pioneer families of Allamakee County are planning a reunion for Sunday, September 14 at the Waterville Community Center, the former Waterville School. 

In 1857, Martin Anderson Bekkesven came to America where he married Anna Christoffersdatter Erstad, who also came in 1857. Three of the eleven children of Martin and Anna Anderson married three of the children of another pioneer family, Ole D. Busness and Martha Holgersdatter Djonne, who came to America in 1859.

A birthday celebration is scheduled for Saturday, August 30 from 2-6 p.m. at the New Albin Community Center in honor of Dave Richards’ 80th birthday and Sue Richards’ 75th birthday. Food, drinks and fun will be provided. No gifts are requested.
