The Waukon boys basketball team sandwiched a big win between its two biggest losses of the season in a second consecutive three-game week of competition. The Indians opened the week with a 91-63 loss at Spring Grove, MN Monday, January 12 and ended it with a 76-48 home loss to Class 3A top-five rated Waverly-Shell Rock Friday, January 16. In between those two setbacks, the Indians dealt out a convincing defeat of their own, 74-51, at Oelwein Tuesday, January 13.
Currently holding an 8-5 overall record, 2-4 in the Northeast Iowa Conference, the Indians were slated to play at Charles City Tuesday, January 20 before hosting Decorah Friday, January 23. The Tribe will continue its Northeast Iowa Conference slate with a Tuesday, January 27 home game against New Hampton before traveling to Crestwood Friday, January 30.
